BLAH

Feeling really BLAH today. Not too sure why, but I do have a headache, and thats never a good start to the morning.

I have the next installment of my course this week - so finishing up at 4:30 tomorrow, and back to the coldness of the Adelaide Hills. It will be nice to be able to sleep in till 7am up there - this getting up at 5:30am is really starting to get to me. Working 9hours plus a day is starting to take its toll.

Went to the dentist yesterday, had my bottom teeth cleaned, and mouthguard adjusted. My teeth are super sensitive, and I had to have them numbed - she numbed a nerve at the back of my mouth - and the whole left side of my face went numb (incl my tongue) for about 4 hours. It wasn't very pleasant. And I'm still feeling abit sore from it today.

SO maybe thats why I feel so blah.... and all the other crap thats happening....with work and home life.

ANYWAYS...on with it. Time to take a neurofen plus, and settle into my day.

Lazy Sunday?

Not sure how lazy a day it will be...but I don't plan to do too much today! I'm really enjoying playing around with my new laptop...I have wanted one for many years, and finally have one. So now I can sit in the loungeroom and keep myslef occupied while Andrew plans his playstation.

I started planing our trip to Qld last night - being me, I like to have things planned, and work out what we are doing on most of the days. We are spending only a few days in the Gold Coast, then a few days in Brissy, and then about 6 days up the sunshine coast. We are going on a fishing charter, and to some markets, and walking through a rainforest.... and of course doing 2 Theme parks.

So when I get my tax return then we can book flights, and accommodation, and a car.

Looking forward to going away... i haven't really been on an ADULT holiday, so this 2 weeks is going to be really special and FUN!!!

YAY for friday!!

Tonight I'm going out with my friend, and we are off to dinner and a movie!! We're off to see Sex and the City.... again for me!! I've been wanting to see this movie for a second time for ages, and my friend hasn't seen it yet, so perfect opportunity for me... Wonder if I will get as teary this time.

Andrew is working all weekend - BOOOOOOO to that. The money will be good for him, but I would still like to see him a bit over the weekend.

My sister is coming over form Melbourne for the weekend - so will be going over to see her on Sunday at mum and dad's. Walking with my friend on Saturday morning, and then spending the rest of the weekend doing housework, sorting out the study, and do a bit of reading of my book. And of course, playing with my new laptop!

Oh, and Froggy..... the questions that need a NO answer don't have to do with work - as long as they are not factual and they can be asked of anyone. Still makes my brain think a bit though!!

Enjoy your friday, and the weekend... :)

Saying NO

I'm supposed to go back to my course next week, and have had asked 20 questions, and received the answer NO to them. These are not to be factual questions. I am struggling wiuth this. It means thinking beyond my normal train of thoughts....

So yesterday I asked 2 questions.. 1 of them I thought I would get a NO to and the other was a likely yes. I got a yes for both questions..... which is a bonus for me, cause I'm now picking up my very own laptop this arvo..... LUCKY ME!!

So I'm going to keep on thinking, and see what else I can come up with. I have 4 no's so far. Its harder than I thought!!

Minties

So, the pack of minties I bought on Wed last week were on special for $2.39 a pack. Pity the cracked filling they casued me on the weekend cost me $80 after private health rebate. So, they would have to be the most expensive minties I've ever eaten!!

Spent 45min in the dentist chair yesterday while they took the old filling out, and replaced it with a lovely white one. I hate dentists, but his one was cute, and worked well on me, so I was happy. He even took photos so I could see what he's done.

So after the numbing sensation wore off, all was good. Until I went to put in my night guard (to stop me grinding my teeth). It didn't fit. So for the first time in 3 years I slept without a big plastic thing in my mouth!! At least I didn't wake up with a headache....

So, off to the dentist again next week to have it adjusted - god knows how much that will cost.

So, that packet of minites on special is probably going to cost me over $100. What a load of crap!! Guess who will never buy minites again!

Sunday at home

Tne first part of my training course on Thurs and Friday was great. Very very interesting. We did the Myers-Briggs personality prefernce test, and that really confirmed for me who I am when I got given the information. It was actually scary that so much of it was true.

We did a fair bit of workshopping learning about how we learn, the myers-briggs, and also thnking about ourslves a lot. The 2 days were a focus on ourselves... and I actually got rather upset at one point becuase I don't like to focus on myself as I have a lot of anger and resentment that I have not learnt to get rid of. But all in all it was very good.

I did this!!!! The leap of faith!!! I'm so proud of myslef for doing it, and even though I didn't reach the trapeze, I still jumped off, and trusted the person at the other end. We also did a high ropes course which scared the absolute crap outa me, but I did it, and if I hadn't I would have regretted it.

I must have had some sort of impact on my leader, because she gave me a big hug as I was leaving - I think she'd seen me get upset at one point, and knew I was struggling with a few things. The leaders were awesome, and all the other people (9) were really nice. I struggle in new social situations, so for me to be able to get along with and talk to everyone was another great achievement for me.

so today is cleaning the shed at home, and then spending the arvo relaxing. Back to work tomorrow.... I have a new employee starting, so it should be an intersting and busy day. starting at 7am... And I think I'll be starting at that time most days for the next few months. Thank god Andrew has his licence! And I can actually go to bed early.

Hump Day

So, I'm all packed for my training course down at Strathalbyn. Leaving work at 4.45 today, so should give me plenty of time to get there. Feeling a bit off colour today, so hopefully I will feel better as the day goes on. Have to be back at work by 5.30pm Friday so I can attend a dinner with other staff and a customer....its gonna be a busy few days.

I've been at work by 7am every morning this week, and averaging 10 hour days. 50 hours for the past pay week... thats huge for me. Looking forward to the pay packet today!!

Andrew having his license already has its benefits. I ran out of cat food, and becuase I have to get special food from the vet, I couldn't get it before work (not open). So I called them, paid for it and Andrew picked it up! Bonus!! So the kitty cats didn't go hungry yesterday like I'd thought they would.

Been in bed by 10:30pm each night this week - certainly a change from 11:30. And his driving is going OK. I think I'm going to appreciate it more and more as time goes on.

Ok, on to some work - got a lot to organise before I leave today..... Make sure everyone has something to do for the next 2 days!
