Yep, thats me. I didn't go to the gym last night - I just couldn't be bothered - and I worked back late, so by the time I finally got out of work it was 6pm.
When I got home, I walked in the door to hear my cat Chilli yowlling at something in the spare room. So I went and shut the back screen door, cause I didn't want Chilli to go back outside - and this other cat comes flying out of the room into the laundry and start climbing the screen door while Chilli is still yowling at him - I'm freaking out and even opened the door so the cat would go outside a fuck off, but it ended up running back into the bedroom.
I hussled Chilli into the study and shut the door, and went and opened the laundry door - and somehow without me seeing, the feral cat escaped out the back door (thank god). All I could hear was my other cat Gemi growling under the bed, and I thought it was the feral, cause I didn't see it escape.
ANYWAY, I let Chilli back out and fed the cats, but didn't take too much notice of Gemi, as he is usually fine. But a few hours later I hadn't seen Gemi (he is usually a very loving, give me pats cat), and I found him curled up behind the computer in the study. Just before Andrew and I left to take him to work, Gemi wandered out of the study, belly low to the ground making these awful growling and yowling noises.... I tried to pat him but the noises got worse and worse. He jumped on the spare bed, and everytime I patted him he would yowl and he even hissed at me.
By this time I was starting to wonder if the feral cat had attacked Gemi and chased him into the spare room. Gemi seemed to growl more when I touched around the back of his leg, but I couldn't actually see anything wrong.
So I left him to sleep, and this morning he was in the exact same position as last night, and I almost thought he was dead, cause it took him a few prods by me to move. Then the yowling and growling started again, and all I was doing was giving him a scratch where he likes it around his cheeks.
This is all rather traumatising for me, and makes me cry cause my cat has NEVER acted like this towards me before - EVER. (I'm tearing up now). I think he is severly traumatised from the feral cat being in the house, and I think he is hurt. I'm taking him to the vet tonight...
I'm so sad about this, as Gemi and I have been through a lot together, and he is my first ever cat, and he is my boy. And for him to yowl, and growl and hiss at me for being nice to him kills me. So hopefully he will be OK. Both cats are banished to inside today, not even Chilli is going out.
WALK, THEN PLACEMATS AGAIN...

I am inclined to think he copped a bashing from the stray. He is very traumatized, and in obvious pain I think. That trip to the vet is a very good idea. They will fix the hurt bits and probably give him a mild sedative.
Don't take it personally, it is not something you did or can fix. Keep us posted...
Well that's weird. Maybe the other cat hurt him and he's all freaked out?
