Thank you !!

Thank you for all my birthday wishes. I had an OK day at work, but had a lovely dinner with my family at a seafood restaurant. And got some nice pressies and a bit of cash to spend on myself... not sure what I'm going to get just yet.

Anyways, the week is almost over. Have to work on Saturday for most of the day. But its just packing stock and pulling shelving apart, so should be OK.

My favourite instructor from the gym called me on my birthday to find out if I was Ok, cause she hadn't seen me for a few weeks. I thought that was rather nice. I really need to get back to the gym, I have been way too slack... but being so busy at work hasn't helped my motivation.

Anyhoo... on to some work I suppose. Shopping night tonight, and SUSHI!! I love the new sushi place near us. It is so so yummy!!

Another year older

So, I was thinking about what I was doing on my 22nd birthday, and the thoughts that got dragged out of the depths were not good ones. I was experiencing my first boyfriend and subsequesnt physical abuse, I was regularly taking drugs, I had alienated my family, and I had moved out of home with said boyfriend. I was also working as a car detailer - cleaning cars. At the time I was young and impressionable.....and didn't know any better.



So now I start to look at the past few years, and see how much I have accomplished since losing said dickhead boyfriend, and gaining Andrew in my life. I have grown wiser and smarter, and STRONGER.



I have suceeded and am suceeding in a good job. I am loved by my parents again. I own a house. I am completely drug free including cigarettes (can't kick the caffine though). I am in a wonderful abuse-free relationship. I am not too far off completing my accounting degree.



I have a lot to be proud of. And I am proud of myself in what I have achieved. I may still be fat, but I DO NOT smoke cigarettes. I own my own home - a dream 10 years ago that I had pushed far out of reach..... I own a lounge suite too.... lets not forget that bit!! :)



I am 32, and I am a success.....

So the lounge arrive Friday, and when I got home and looked at it - the colour was Chocolate!!!! When it was in the shop it looked charcoal... must have the lighting. So I ummed and ahhhed about it, and decided that it looked OK. I bought light blue suede cushions to give a bit of contrast and to match the walls. Just waiting on the bookshelf and the TV cabinet now... they are about 4 to 6 weeks away.

Red hair - well the dye bottle and I got friendly again last night... and its nice to back bright red. I was so careful putting it on in the bathroom...cause I have a bad habit of getting it everywhere. And As much as I tried, I still managed to stain some wood, and the mat. Bloody hopeless.

The weekend was nice - spent time cleaning, sorting, cat proofing the back yard, and reading my book. Didn't get any study done, but I need to get my arse into gear this week, and get onto that.

All in all a good weekend.

Birthday tomorrow..... shhhhhhhh... turning 32.

The lounge is arriving - but I'm at work!!!

Spewing I had to go to work - I wanted to be there for the delivery of the lounge!! But Andrew will be there, and he has instructions to make sure he puts towels on the lounge so that the cats will sit on them. Really looking forward to going home tonight to see my new purchase!!

BUT, I will got to the gym for 40mins and sit on a spin bike. I have been really really slack lately, and just can't be bothered. I'm going for a walk in the morning, but only if its not raining. We're meant to be getting quite a storm here over the next day or so. If it rains, I might go to the Step class at the gym.

So Exciting!!!

I have just ordered a new lounge, tv cabinet and bookshelf!!! All that for $2300 (got $300 off the original price)! The lounge suite is a 2 seater and a 3 seater, covered in Rhino suede, and is charcoal in colour. And since we had to buy floor stock we get the lounge delivered on Friday!!!!

I am so excited!! I have waiting years and years to be able to buy a NICE lounge suite. So Friday is going to be AWESOME!!!!!!! Photos next week. The TV cabinet and bookshelf will be about 4 weeks away, they have to order them in

We will be organising the house a bit more on the weekend, and have it a lot better than it is now.

Final colour

So we have the final colours now - the feature wall ended up almost purple in colour - unintentional - but looks good. We also painted the door, cause it was the same colour as the green before and we had to get rid of it.

So the lounge is done. We are in the process of organisiung furniture, and hoping to have a new lounge, bookshelf and TV unit soon.

It was a busy weekend with seeing mothers and getting the painting done. But at least we can relax and enjoy our new loungeroom with out the disgusting colour.

No gym tonight - got a headache so am off to the chiro in 5min.... hopefully he will sort my neck out. Too much stress I think!

Finally Friday

Its been a long week - slept in this morning accidently so was a mad rush to get to a supplier to pick something up then get to work. I went to an auction yesterday and had fun bidding on things for work - spent too much money, but got the things I wanted. The auction was fun - I was the only female there - which is always good fun!!

Thanks for the kind comments yesterday.... I will stop worrying about the whole weight thing at the moment - and try to make healthier choices.... Can't wait for everything to just settle down back to normal. I HATE change - and I've had (or having) two major upheavals this year... and its just getting a bit much.

Feeling odd today. Don't want to be at work, don't want to be at home. Don't want to be around the boy.... Just feeling really overwhelmed with everything at the moment.....

Anyways life goes on, and I just gotta deal with it all.

Happy Mothers Day to the mothers who read my blog !! Hope you have a great day. I'm looking forward to enjoying some time with my mum this year... cause this time last year - we didn't think she would make it to another Mothers Day! So YAY for my mum!! Love you lots and lots.
