HE PASSED!!!!!!

Yep, Andrew is now a P plater. I was so happy on Friday when he rang me.... this has almost made my year! For those people out there who have children and have to Ferry them everywhere... thats what things were like for me and Andrew - I drove him everywhere.
Having his licence means that he can drive himself to work at night, drive himself to cricket, and to cricket training, start indoor cricket again...oh the list is almost endless!!!
And his car is all fixed, so he can happily cruise around now, and do his own thing.
Weekend was good - slept in Saturday, then went to Andrew's dad's, then went to see Jimmy Barnes at Thebarton Theatre. We had the best night, the concert was awesome, and I just loved seeing Jimmy again. Its been years since I've seen him in and enclosed venue...and me ears are still ringing!! It was awesome!!!
Sunday was spent weeding, and cleaning the house. Mum and dad came for dinner which was nice. All in all it was a good weekend. Andrew is now licenced to drive!!!

Another week almost over

This week has flown past - I think its because I have been so busy at work - with end of month, and end of financial year... Looking forward to just having a rest this weekend.

So, the big test is tomorrow!! Andrew asked me what would I do if he failed - I told him I would cry. I don't think he really understands how much taking him to work effects me...especially when I get up at 5:30am like I did today.

Andrew's car is a Ford Laser. As much as I hate fords, this will be a good little car for him. We have to take it to his dad's on Saturday to do a small repair job, then he's right to cruise. As much as petrol is expensive, we really need to have 2 cars. With him working night shift its too hard for him to take my car - especially if I want to leave early in the morning..... and its MY car, and I've worked bloody hard to get it (that sounds selfish, but I have worked bloody hard for it!)

And Froggy, no my boss was not critical of what I did at work on Saturday. It was quite a surprise really.

Shopping night tonight, and sushi night. the whole losing weight thing is starting to rear its head again.... I'm really starting to feel fat again...so I MUST do something soon. Daytime is fine, I am a champ, but night time.....maybe when Andrew starts driving himself to work I might stop eating so much, as I can go to bed earlier, and not have to wait up to take him to work.

Anyhoo...onward with the day.. another busy one, hopefully a bit calmer than yesterday....I was flat out all day, and no one would leave me alone!!

I CAN SEE THE LIGHT.......

We bought a car on the weekend for Andrew. All fingers and toes and every other imaginable piece of body part that is crossable is crossed for him to pass his driving test on Friday. Please please please please please please to the powers that be... LET HIM PASS!!!!!!!!!!!! I so want him to be a P plater, and no more of this learner crap.

I have been taking him to work for almost 2 years.... and its doing my head in! Having to travel 13km tohis work at 10:30 at night and then another 13km home.... and then only get about 6.5 hours sleep... I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!!!!

so, once he gets his licence I will be a much happier lady.

All in all it was a good weekend - rather busy with finding the car and picking it up and going to mum and dad's. I didn't really feel like I'd had a weekend at all!!

So hopefully this week at work will run fairly quickly... and I can relax a little bit on the weekend!!

Saturday...at work

I got an hour walk in this morning - and we only got really wet towards the end of the walk. Thankfully I had a spare jacket at work as my Puma one got soaked. A good blast of the heater dried out my pants OK.

So, at work for a few hours today - I have a busy week next week, and wanted to get a few things done to my storeroom, so that others can use it without asking me where things are. Just waiting for my boss to turn up and be critical of what I am doing - yep, thats the way things are at the moment with him - nothing is good enough unless its done his way.

I'll be doing washing and reading my book this arvo I think -its pretty wet out, and I don't fancy weeding in the rain. We need the rain - but my weeds are going nuts out the front!

Not much going on

Its been a fairly quiet week. Went to the dentist and had top half of teeth cleaned last night - I HATE getting that done, cuase it hurts so much. My teeth are super sensitive, so I need to have an anesthetic everytime I get them cleaned.... And they are usually quite sore afterwards. Have to go back in about 3 weeks to got the bottom ones done.

Not doing too much this weekend - its my dad's 75th birthday, so we are going there for afternoon tea on Sunday, and I will hopefully get a walk in on Saturday. Otherwise I might just curl up with my new book - yep, onto the 3rd book in the series now. And of course all the general housecleaning duties.

My boss is sending me on a management course in a few weeks. Its the type of course where you are completely removed from all your daily routine, and we go and stay at a homestead in the Adelaide Hills for 2 nights, and then again for 2 nights 2 weeks later, and then another 2 nights another 2 weeks later. Its going to be quite challenging for me since it will really be pushing me out of my comfort zones, and into an area of not knowing anyone at all.... But I'm sure I will be fine.
I just got sent this piccy from my walking mate! It was taken when we went out for lunch for my birthday a few weeks ago! She is a very cool chick, and we get along so well.

Almost Friday!! Bring it on I say!

I loved Sex and the City

Oh I wanted to cry quite a few times in the movie!! Such an emotional ball of feelings I was!! I am hanging to see it again... cause I just want to absorb everything again.

For me the fashion is just an added extra. I loved the story lines, the wedding, the baby and the breakups..... It was all so sex and the city. I will certainly be buying the DVD when it comes out to add to my collection.

And going to see it with my best mate was awesome too... having lunch then coffe afterwards was great. I had no expectations of the movie, and I am so glad I did not hear any plot spoilers, or reveiws. I had to no expecftations, so it was so much better for that. I just loved it.

Rest of the weekend was OK. Had a fight with the boy... got over it eventually. Bought a lawnmower - so the back lawn looks respectable now. Did some weeding, read my book, and ate food (I was good up to last night, then I lost the plot).

All in all an OK weekend. Now back to the grindstone....

YAY!! FRIDAY!!

This week has been short with the public holiday, and cause there has been so much to do at work, the days have just flown past.

Thanks goodness we have a heater in our offices, its bloody freezing this morning!! I love winter, but really struggled to get out of bed, and into the shower today. I'm even wearing my gloves when I drive to work now.

Not much planned for the weekend. My main concern is to go easy on food. Weekends are usually really bad for me for shoving heaps of crap in my mouth. So if I can survive this weekend, and drink water by the bottle full, then I should be well on my way to start breaking some BAD habits I have accrued over the past 4 months or so.

Hopefully we are going for a walk in the morning, then off to lunch with my best mate, and then going to see the movie 'sex and the city'! I am a HUGE fan (own the box set), and am so looking forward to seeing it.

Sunday will be quiet I think. I would love to finish my book this weekend, and get on to the next installment....but we'll see how I go. I'm reading a series by Diana Gabaldon and its about an english woman who goes back in time by 200 years in Scotland, and ends up getting involves with the Scottish highland men, and their war in the 1740's. The books are so full of passion, and excitement!! There are 6 in the series (800pgs ea), and I'm not far off finishing book number 2. I love books that just suck me in and are so enjoyable.

Anyhoo... onward with Friday!!
