YAY!! FRIDAY!!

This week has been short with the public holiday, and cause there has been so much to do at work, the days have just flown past.

Thanks goodness we have a heater in our offices, its bloody freezing this morning!! I love winter, but really struggled to get out of bed, and into the shower today. I'm even wearing my gloves when I drive to work now.

Not much planned for the weekend. My main concern is to go easy on food. Weekends are usually really bad for me for shoving heaps of crap in my mouth. So if I can survive this weekend, and drink water by the bottle full, then I should be well on my way to start breaking some BAD habits I have accrued over the past 4 months or so.

Hopefully we are going for a walk in the morning, then off to lunch with my best mate, and then going to see the movie 'sex and the city'! I am a HUGE fan (own the box set), and am so looking forward to seeing it.

Sunday will be quiet I think. I would love to finish my book this weekend, and get on to the next installment....but we'll see how I go. I'm reading a series by Diana Gabaldon and its about an english woman who goes back in time by 200 years in Scotland, and ends up getting involves with the Scottish highland men, and their war in the 1740's. The books are so full of passion, and excitement!! There are 6 in the series (800pgs ea), and I'm not far off finishing book number 2. I love books that just suck me in and are so enjoyable.

Anyhoo... onward with Friday!!

Finally have my own office

So, sitting here in my own office bright and early in the morning, listening to the noises of the building as it wakes up on this winters day. As ugly as the colour is in my office, its nice not to have to share. Its still a shambles, but, I hope to sort it out today.

Weekend was good, spent most of it on my arse relaxing, and reading my book. Spent money at IKEA, and bought a lamp, a small cupboard for out bags, and some towels for the lounge arm chairs for the cats to sit on. All in all a good expedition.

Hump day already.... thank god for that.

only 15 days until I have been at my job for 7.5 years.... not too long and I'm due to move on. I get pro-rata long service leave payout after 7.5 years, so at least it will be worth it.

Went to my nose doctor last night - apparently the dry air is causing my nose to play up.... so if its not better by the end of winter, then its going to get cauterised. Oh year, apparently me being fat is causing me to snore. How crap. So now I don't have much choice but to lose weight.

Yesterday was a good food day, except for the chocolate cake and icecream, BUT... I didn't really enjoy the cake and ice cream with 97% fat free.... so I actually did much better then what I have over the past few months.

Anyways... ONWARD!

Loving a long weekend

Ok, so I worked on Saturday, but I still have today and Monday off work!


My last post was very to the point wasn't it!! I guess that doing essays is not my thing. Give me a bunch of numbers to crunch, or an accounting system to organise and I am happy, but writing essays...nope can't enjoy it. I do enjoy my studies generally, but this subject was the biggest let down - i expected to learn so much more than I have.....


Anyways, now I have a few months to relax, and not feel guilty for doing other things, like painting, pottery classes or reading my book.

froggy....RE: My Boss.... I get pissed off with him not coming into work cause he is depended upon to keep other people (who are not managed by me) busy. When my boss doesn't work, then often the others don't either.... And I get sick of putting up with customers who are getting the shits with him for not doing their work. And its not work that others can easily do.


As for running the compnay, yes he is more than happy with what I do, and how I control things, and yes, the further pay rise is pending once the move is out the way. His distraction with outside factors is just causing a bit of grief for me - cause sometimes I do actually need to consult with him on decisions since it is his buiness, but he is not always there, and that can be painful.


ANYWAY... once the new place is up and running, I'm hoping that everything will become a bit better, and work will run a bit smoother. Best thing abiut the new place - I HAVE MY OWN OFFICE!!! no sharing with 2 other people.


Today we are off to IKEA to look for a lamp for the lounge room, and just to go out and do something. Then back home for washing and reading my book guilt free!!!

I have just seen this huge load of crap fall off my shoulder behind me.... I am fucking done.

No More uni for 3 months.

Thank fuck for that.

Caffine overload!!!

Ok... I've had way too much caffine this week, and today I've got the caffine grunge feeling - where there is so much caffine running through your system that you feel absolutley awful!!! Its almost like having too much bad speed.

So the moving is almost done at work. The unpacking is happening at the new place, and the buying of new furniture and building of desks etc is happening. my boss is still pissing me off, and I've just about had enough of it all. I really have a I DON"T CARE attitude at the moment. And I hate that my boss and I have such differing opinions on things. I am appreciative that he is wanting my opion on things, and consulting me on things....this means I am a valuable member of the team. Actually it means that I run the business when he is not there and he just wants to make sure I am happy enough to take care of it all when he decides to fuck off or just not come into work.

I have no resentment do I??? (Add in lots of sarcasm here)

And Froggy and Miss Pinky, thanks for the suggestions of relaxing, but unfortunately I have this bloody assignment to do, so I am not getting in any relaxing until this weekend. Once Sunday comes I will relax and not do too much at all.

And uni will be over and I will have a few months break. Thank god for that.

Anyways, rant over - see what the caffine has done!! Only 500 words of my assignment to go!!! Its actually coming together OK... which is quite surprising!!!

Oh yeah, no internet at work till next week - so I'm on here sparodically.

Hump Day = Moving Day!

I thought moving house was a big thing... bloody hell... moving a business is a nightmare!! Especially when you have the majority of items smaller then your thumb nail!!!

We have over 150 boxes to be shifted tomorrow, along with all the desks and chairs, computers, filing cabinets, and work benches.

My boss is just pissing me off - and this move is quite stressful for us both.

I have broken out in mouth ulcers - which is a sure sign of stress. I went to the supermarket and stocked up on comfort food for the evening, and now I feel like a BIG HUGE COW.

BUT.... only a few more days of stress, then life can go back to normal. Hopefully I won't be working all weekend - I would like to enjoy some of the weekend off!!!! Especially since Monday is a public holiday.

Anyhoo... time for bed. My eye is hurting, so no more study for me. I'm getting there with my assignment - only 1000 words to go.... I should be able to do that tomorrow night all going well.

Hell Week

Last night I decided that I think this week is going to be the week from hell.

Moving work is just going to be the biggest pain in the arse that I am going to have to experience this year (well, that I can envision anyways!). I AM NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO ANY OF IT.

And to top it off, due to my absolute slackness, I've still got to bash out 2000 words for an essay that is due at the end of this week. Hence HELL WEEK.

If I hadn't been so slack, then I would have had the assignment finished, but I just haven't had the motivation to do it. BUT thankfully the topic is pretty straight forward once I started to get into it last night.

On a happier note, I got a new washing machine on the weekend. A lovely Electrolux front loader. It is wonderful, and at this stage does not destroy my clothes like my old washing machine. So at least I will have clean and lint free clothes now.

Oh yeah, we went on the the Port River Dolphin Cruise on Saturday night for a friends engagement party. Surprisingly I had a really good time catching up with Andrew's mates. By the time we finally got home after heading back to the happy couples place after the boat ride, it was 3am.... this is certainly not normal for me to be up this late!! But it was a good night, and I really enjoyed my self. The view of the city lights from the boat was awesome...

OK... onto work... let hell week begin!! :)
