shopping spree - kinda

So my boss made a comment that I dress too casually at work. It shit me off that he said it, but once I got over that bit I have decided it was warranted. Now that I am General Manager, I need to look a bit more presentable I suppose. NAd wear what I do currently cause I have stacked on so much weight that none of my nice clothes fit me anymore.

So, last night I went to Myers.... god help me. I HATE shopping for clothes. Firstly I did shoes - I tried on a pair which didn't fit, then I said to the lady just bring me out whatever you have with closed toe and heel in a size 11. Second pair I tried on were perfect. They are made by Planet Shoes, but I can't find a piccy on the net for you. They are very comfy!

Then I went up to the BIB section of womens clothing - you know, the area for bigger women. I got all in a fluster cause it was all kinda overwhelming - I am not a girly girl, so didn't like the fact I had to by girly clothes. I was ultimately looking for a shawl type thingy to wear to an awards dinner tonight - and I ended up with a thing called a mesh cardy in black. It looks great.

Then I ended up asking the saleswomeen to help me - so she loaded me up with about 8 items and sent me off to a fitting room. I tried on heaps of pants and a few tops. Most of the pants were a stretchy type material, so they actually fit and looked good.

In the end I spent $440 on 2 pairs of pants, and 3 tops (incl the cardy). Fucking expensive!! But at least I'll look the part at work now. The brand I bought was TS 14+ and the clothes I got were on pages 26 (the cardy), pg7 (grey groupie pants) and pg4 (sable pants) of their summer colleciton. The tops were green and a bluey purple.

So all in all an expensive, but worthwhile shopping trip - I will get one more pair of pants next week, and then a few shirts and Iw ill be set for a few months... well at least till I drop some kilo's anyways. Thankfully most of what I bought from there was and 18 or 20..... I HAVE to get back to a 16.

Tonight is the Electronics Industry association dinner, and I will be going and dressing up as a girl.... as in skirt, top, cardy (!), highheels, and makeup. Its going to be a long day and a long night - getting up at 5:30am kinda kills me!!

Back to work...

So day 1 back at work was good until 10:15am, when my new Office Manager called me and said that she can't work for me cause her husband got a transfer interstate. She was supposed to start tomorrow. As you could imagine I was very very pissed off - but didn't let it get to me... if I had, then it would have ruined my day.

So now we are back on the search - a search that I do not have the time to do.

Since my last update, the rest of our holiday was great. We had a nice relaxing time in Coolum, and went to Australia Zoo, Underwaterworld, and on a fishing charter. We did lots of sleeping, and swimming in the pool and relaxing in the spa. I have certainly come back to work feeling refreshed.

The next 6 weeks are going to be FLAT OUT...especially with uni and work. Social life will be non existant, so I hope I get through it OK. I just need to get through till the middle of Dec and then all is good... I can relax cause no more uni till next year.

Its good to be home though - I did miss it, and missed my cats so much. Chilli wouldn't even purr on Sunday night when I was patting him in bed - he must have been pissed off with me!! But last night I got BIG purrs and cuddles.

So all is good - I have stacked on the kilos... so am trying to get back ontop of things... so far day 1 was good, but ate a bit too much dinner. Lunch is a big salad today, so am looking forward to that. No more junk food!!!

Finally I manage an update. We have been having an awesome time - really enjoyed hanging out with my mate in Brisbane, and went to the Eumundi markets and spent up big!! Bought myself a pair of Birkenstock shoes - well thongs actually for $118, but I LOVE THEM!! I have wanted them for about 12 years, and finally I got them!! Bought some cool jewellery, and bascially had a great day.





We are up in Coolum now for the rest of the week and fly home on Sunday. We have a great apartment here...heaps nicer than Surfers, but no view, but thats cool.




off to Australia Zoo tomorrow, and Fishing Charter on Tuesday!!! Should be agreat week.
my next update will probably be at home - just depends on what we get up to at night.

4 days down - 10 to go

Jut a quick update... tomorrow I will add in piccys, just don't have the time now.

So far all is going well..... I made the mistake of going on the Lethal Weapon ride at Movieworld... my neck was really sore today, and it took me 2hrs after the ride before I felt normal again!!!

We had an awesome time at Seaworld... loved that heaps. Went up on the 78th floor of the Q1 building - was so awesome!

Today we went shopping - Pacific FAir and then Harbour Town. We spent way too much money - especially when I found the ADIDAS factory store!!!

Having a good time - but looking forward to the sunshien coast and doing some relaxing. I will find a WiFi cafe soon and will do a bigger post with some piccy's.

Off to bed soon, and then getting a car tomorrow, and off to Brisbane - after we go to a Crystal garden first!!! I'll post more soon!!

I am actually starting to get excited now for my holiday to queensland!!! Only 2 more LONG days at work, and then we are outa here for 2 weeks. YAY!!!

Work has been flat out, food has been average, and exercise is still non existant. I am sending the spin bike back to the hire place for 2 reasons - I have hardly used it, and it makes noises. I like the bikes at the gym better.

New plan of attack when I get back from QLD.... taking my bike to work, and will go for 30min rides at lunchtime. There is a nice bike path along the river torrens, so I could easily clock up 6km in 30min. And now that daylight savings has started - I will have walking time after work!!

I have 3 x interviews on friday for prospective office person.... hoping we get someone soon. I'm starting to struggle a bit with the extra work, and there are other things I would like to be doing rather than general admin work.

2 days to go!! YAY!!!!!

Long Weekend

After all the labouring I've been doing lately...I'm in need of the labour day holiday!!!

We're off to Blanchtown tomorrow morning to go camping. We are staying in a caravan park, but its half star accomodation, so its almost like roughing it, but with a port-a-loo for my convenience. I'm not into the full roughing it thing... :) Looking forward to the time out - but its going to be spent with Andrew's friends....which is cool.

I will be leaving bright and early Monday morning so I can spend the day at home studying. I NEED to get through at least 1 whole topic...maybe 2 at a push.

Work is still FLAT OUT...but coping OK. 6.30am starts hurt, but the money is worth it.

My neck is killing me at the moment though, can't turn it left very well. Hopefully it will settle on the weekend....my chiro is on holidays, so no hope of getting in a visit.

Just a quickie

Things are pretty flat out at the moment. I managed to get my assignment done on the weekend after much procrasinating, and handed it in last night. I'm falling behind in my studies cause work is so flat out.

I'm going camping with friends this weekend, but I don't really want to go, but can't pike out now. And off to QLD on the 12th.....

So much to do and so little time.
